IMU means Indian Maritime University. It is a central university started in 2008 by the Government of India under the Ministry of Shipping at Chennai. IMU has 6 campuses located at Chennai, Kolkata, Visakhapatnam, Cochin, Kandla Port and Mumbai. It offers best quality education in the field of maritime. Both under graduate and post graduate courses, training and research facilities in maritime field are offered in this university.

An advertisement has been published in the official website of IMU for the recruitment of various posts of Scientists and Senior Project Technical Assistant. All the following posts are on contract basis. All the following posts are for the area of Ocean Sciences, naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering & Computer Science.

Posts:

ü       1 post is for Scientist F

ü       1 is for Scientist E

ü       1 is for Scientist D

ü       4 are for Scientist C

ü       5 are for Scientist B

ü       1 post is for Senior Project Technical Assistant

Emolument:
Scientist F and E will get emolument under the pay scale of Rs.37400 – 67000/-. While, Senior Project Technical Assistant will get salary under the pay scale of Rs.9300 – 34800/- with GP Rs.4800/- an rest of the posts are under the pay scale of Rs.15600 – 39100/- with appropriate grade pay.

Qualification: Ph.d with masters degree/ graduation is required.

Mode of selection: Candidates has to come for an interview for final selection along with duly filled in application form and original certificates related to education and experience. 1 set of attested certificates will also be required at the time of interview.
