Directorate of Education, Andaman and Nicobar Administration, Port Blair invites applications from eligible candidates for the post of Post Graduate Teacher (PGT), Graduate Trained Teacher (GTT) and Primary School Teacher (PST) for filling 422 Vacancies. Eligible candidates apply on or before 25th November 2013.

Educational Qualifications:
PGT (Arts/Science/Mathematics/Commerce /Home Science) ->
1. Master's Degree from a recognized University or its equivalent in the subject concerned. 
2. Bachelor's degree in Education from a recognized university or its equivalent. 
3. Should have studied the concerned subject both under Graduate and Post Graduate level. 
4. Should have studied in the concerned medium at the Secondary / Senior Secondary / Degree level.
GTT  ->
1. Bachelor's Degree in required discipline from a recognized University.  (OR) Higher Secondary/ intermediate/Sr. Sec. with minimum 4  years full time Diploma in required discipline from a recognized Institute/University
PST ->
1. Senior School Certificate Examination (Class XII pass) with atleast 50% marks from a recognized Board/Institution and two years Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). (OR) Senior School Certificate Examination (Class XII pass) with atleast 45% marks from a recognized Board/institution and two years Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with the NCTE(Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations 2002. (OR) Senior School Certificate Examination (Class XII pass) with atleast 50% marks from a recognized Board/Institution and four years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B El.Ed) (OR) Senior School Certificate Examination (Class XII pass with atleast 50% marks from a recognized Board/Institution and two years Diploma in Education (Special Education) (OR) Graduation and two years Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). 
2. Knowledge of Hindi. 
3. Should have studied in the concerned medium of instruction up to Secondary level. 
4. Pass in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET), to be conducted by the appropriate Government in accordance with Guidelines framed by the NCTE for the purpose.
How To Apply: Application on the prescribed format. Duly filled in application form along with all necessary documents can be submitted to the offices during working hours. Candidates can also send application form duly filled in with all requisite testimonials to The Deputy Education Officer, South Andaman, Middle Point (Near State Library), Port Blair- 744101, Andaman and Nicobar Islands only so as to reach there by closing date.
Candidates should attach self attested copies of certificates of educational qualifications, age proof, ST/ OBC/ Govt.Servant / experience certificates etc on or before 25/11/2013 by 4.30 P.M. A recent passport size self attested photo of the candidate must be affixed in the space provided in application form.
